Aloha I’m Jessica Molinares, the mother of six beautifuly unique individuals who have special needs. My three oldest boys have Autism, one being severe and my two youngest have ADHD and my middle daughter has adjustment disorder, all suffering from PTSD due to living in a domestic violence home in California.
After I reported the abuse to the police and filed charges in Solano county, abuser was having us evicted from our home, hoping we’d end up in the streets. Fortunately I was able to secure a home for myself and my children in my maternal grandmothers native home, Hawai’i. My children and I have been apart of the Nanakuli, Waianae community since April of 2017. We are currently fighting for juisdictin over the child custody case in CA.
The California judge gave full custody to our abuser by default as he would not allow I attend by phone. The orders were illegal, our abuser was in the middle of his criminal case at the time. As we come up on the actual court case and dates we area asking for support and information. My kids are going through so much and still progressing, but I’m afraid that they will regress if taken from Hawai’i and put into foster care in California.
We have a safe home report from Child Welfare Services here in Hawai’i but based on the jurisdiction they are being pressured into trying to fly them all out in the up coming month. Unless, the new family judge, here in Hawai’i chooses to investigate, help unsort this case, and accept jurisdiction. This is our ohana page that I will personally update as soon as I have information available.
Right now, we are in limbo. We are trying to gain support and bring awareness to the bias and injustices in Family Law regarding, but not limited to, disabled children and domestic violence. Mahalo for joining our page to help our ohana stay together here in our home of Hawai’i.
